Sombrinha · Last updated October 2026
Sombrinha is a street-runner game set during carnival in Olinda and Recife. It is built to work entirely on your device, with no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server of our own. This page explains exactly what the app touches and why.
If you choose to personalise your bloco's estandarte (banner), Sombrinha asks for access to your camera or photo library at that moment, with a clear explanation on screen. The photo you pick is saved only inside the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded, shared, or sent anywhere.
If you turn on the optional "daily bloco call" reminder, Sombrinha schedules a local notification on your device. This is not a push notification and does not involve any server — your device alone decides when to show it.
While you're running a stretch, the app reads your device's accelerometer to let you tilt-balance the sombrinha. This reading is used live, on-device, to drive the game, and is never recorded or stored.
Your progress — route unlocks, wardrobe pieces, cordão friends, caderno notes, settings and your daily streak — is saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. Deleting the app deletes this data. None of it is ever copied off your device.
Sombrinha does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
